Hot Rocks Bike Ride Info

Post by ke5nub » Tue Aug 02, 2016 3:44 pm

The Hot Rocks bike ride in Rockwall is Saturday, Aug. 13 (about three weeks out). Ham radio operators supply all communications for this event and we need all the help we can get. We start at 5:30am and finish about noon -- It all helps the Rockwall Rotary Club support the youth in our area. Its a great opportunity to get in some net practice too. Food and T-shirt included.

We meet at the football stadium near Utley Middle School at the intersection of TL Townsend and Yellowjack, which is across the street from the Rockwall County courthouse.

Duties include sag wagon, rest stop and dangerous intersection patrol.

This is a great event for the new ham too -- No experience is necessary !!!

To volunteer please email your information to:

Scott Hammond
shammond@airmail.net

Please include whether your equipment in VHF or UHF in addition to mobile or HT.

I normally do this one, but have previous commitments this year.

Thanks.
