Tower party anyone?
Just had a call from a coworker who was out walking his dogs when he happened on a neighbor cussing about a Rohn tower in their back yard. Seems they bought the house 5 years ago with the tower and some antennas from a ham, but they aren't, and it is time to be rid of it. I've only seen pictures. Appears to have 5 sections, set in a concrete base, guyed at various levels, and some sort of antenna at the top, but nothing HFish. From the picture it looked more like a 440 Yagi but that was just from the photo with poor light. Anyone up to pulling this down? It will need to come in sections. Located in Creek Crossing, Mesquite on a 7200 foot lot, so not a lot of give and take on the drop zone. Ive explained that they would be donating this to whoever the guy/guys were who did the job.
