04/14 HAM Radio In The Park

HAM Radio In The Park starts at 8:30 this time. Earlier than normal but that is when we have access to the fire training tower to set up and tune the antennas for Field Day. We will also be nailing down the coax runs for each antenna and setting up radios with band pass filters to verify all is in good working order.
Club gear I have staged to bring out :
(4) runs of coax 106+212+116+275=709 feet
(1) barrel connector
(1) vinyl sign
(1) metal sign
Personal gear staged :
measuring wheel
label maker and clear sealing tape
(2) 50 ft coax of unknown quality
(1) barrel connector
Mag mount antenna to cut down for 220 MHz
Bolt cutters
hf radio / power supply / tuner / (3) patch cable / power strip / extension cord
nifty manual for hf radio / band plan
laptop to test fldigi macros for PSK31 and RTTY
folding chair
hand held 2M/440 radio
We should have time to test out projects and tune any personal antennas after the field day prep is completed. Bring out a project and show it off. Hope to see a lot of folks on Saturday morning.
