How about a tavern for general/non amateur radio discussions? Same rules, just non amateur discussions with no ad hominem or rudeness.
It would also provide a place to move threads that get derailed.

I'll be in a booth in the back corner. It's sorta dark back there. I'll go unnoticed for hours.

Gary, reading that reminds me of the 1st movie in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The part where "Strider" is sitting by himself at the table in The Prancing Pony Inn. lolab5rm wrote:I'll be in a booth in the back corner. It's sorta dark back there. I'll go unnoticed for hours.
Re: Tavern?
That back booth, you know, the one whose lighting is dim, is the best one for those who want to avoid the immediate limelight. Leave all the frivality to the young and over served. I'll take notes and jot down a few good one liners for my next book. The guy up near the window and the front table is quite a character. He thinks that his job as a legal assistant will lead him to an appointment to the Supreme Court. Sadly, he is most likely doomed to pull files from the research files in Westlaw. At least until tomorrow evening.

Looks good Vince. I will be around later to give it a proper going over. Work has had me by the shorthairs as of late.
