I have replaced my MFJ 492 with extended memory with a brand new out of the box MFJ 492 and yes, it got some extra memory as well. The old one is now surplus. I have replaced the momentary switches on this thing at least 4 times that I can recall since it was new in 1997. Everything is working just fine right now but honestly, it will eventually need some more switches. It's just the nature of the beast. The extended memory costs about $15 from MFJ or $2 from BG Micro in Garland, so that is a starting point for price. Make me an offer I can't refuse. It's worth something. It works and will help you break through a cw pileup without killing your wrist.
